Curatorial Statement
Coastal Silence was photographed in Caraíva, Brazil, where the Caraíva River meets the Atlantic Ocean.
The collection portrays the traditional wooden canoes that connect the village to the outside world, carrying fishermen, residents, and visitors across the river. Through calm waters and quiet compositions, the photographs capture the rhythms of everyday life in a place where time moves more slowly and the river remains at the heart of the community.
